I took a long vacation back to my home in Jakarta, Indonesia. Even tough I was not very enthusiastic at the beginning....but I admit that I was really enjoying my time with my family, relatives, and friends.

Four days trip to Bali was unforgettable. This was my first time in Bali. I have been wandering before, why is everybody keep saying that Bali is heaven on earth, Bali is great, beautiful, gorgeous, bla bla bla. Now, I am very proud that I can say Bali is great beautiful, gorgeous and heaven made on earth!

Terug naar Holland. I flew with Cathay, transit in Hongkong and final destination was at Schiphol, Amsterdam. I was homesick at the first week. I was looking all of the pictures I made again and again, hoping to get over with the homesickness.

Currently, I am busy with classes, dissertation, courses and work. I have not give the time for my Nikon D40 to get busy. So, I think I am gonna pick up the D40 and get busy with it over the coming weekends.

Yup, I am officially a Nikon D40 user now

After enjoying a very good, versatile, and trusted Canon A610, I decided to purchase Nikon D40 despite its inability to auto-focus on non-AF-S lenses. I chose D40 over D50 because of its several reasons: good price, bigger LCD screen, light-weight, etc.

I would not purchase D40X either,  200 EUR more expensive (maybe more) with only 4 megapixel upgrades from D40, it doesn't sound interesting. If they could put the built-in focus motor on D40X then it might looks good.

Anyway, I am a human after all, a greedy one to be percise. Just a week after playing with D40, I am thinking about buying the UV filter and/or CPL filter, and a SIGMA 70-300mm APO DG Macro
